Terms of Service

1. Service Description
Insurance Social provides social media management and digital marketing services exclusively for insurance brokerage firms. Our services include strategy development, content creation, post scheduling, community management, and performance reporting tailored to the insurance industry.
2. Engagement & Onboarding
Upon engaging our services, you agree to participate in a discovery call to establish your business goals, target audience, and service requirements. A formal service agreement will outline the specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for your engagement.
3. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you are responsible for:
- Providing timely feedback, approvals, and content information
- Ensuring all content you provide complies with applicable insurance regulations
- Granting us authorized access to your social media accounts and analytics platforms
- Maintaining the security of account credentials and access permissions
- Notifying us of any policy or regulatory changes affecting your industry
4. Intellectual Property
Content created by Insurance Social (including copy, graphics, strategies, and reports) is owned by Insurance Social unless otherwise specified in your service agreement. You retain ownership of your business information and branding assets provided to us. Upon service termination or completion of deliverables, we transfer full ownership of custom content to you.
5. Payment Terms
Fees are invoiced as agreed in your service contract, typically on a monthly or project basis. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may accrue interest at 1.5% per month. Services may be suspended if payment becomes 15 days overdue.
6. Limitation of Liability
Insurance Social is not responsible for:
- Changes to social media platform algorithms or policies that affect performance
- Account suspension or deletion due to policy violations
- Lost revenue, business opportunities, or indirect damages
- Third-party actions, hacking, or unauthorized account access
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, we will transfer all account access, content calendars, and analytics to you. Fees for the notice period remain due.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary business information shared during our engagement. We will not disclose your business strategies, financial data, or client lists to third parties without written consent, except as required by law.
9. Compliance & Regulatory
You certify that you comply with all applicable insurance industry regulations in your province. Insurance Social is not legal or compliance counsel. You remain solely responsible for ensuring all marketing content adheres to provincial insurance regulations and other applicable laws.
10. Limitation of Services
Insurance Social does not:
- Provide legal, tax, or compliance advice
- Generate insurance quotes or bind coverage
- Manage client funds or handle transactions
- Guarantee specific results, rankings, or follower growth
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia for any legal proceedings.
12. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates. Material changes will be communicated via email.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with your signed service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Insurance Social and supersede all prior understandings and agreements.
